Modern-day FACTORY GIRLS
QUICK SUMMARY: ICONOCLAST SYNDICATE is an American multimedia programming channel that expands on the cultivation and curation of film exhibition aspects. The “film factory,” inspired by Andy Warhol, is a sensorial collection of film essays, spoken-word, and video analyses worldwide. ICONOCLAST SYNDICATE focuses on educating newer generations on different filmmaking processes and magic through stylized think-pieces and interviews, and video theses on cinema’s universal language.
COMPARABLE PITCH: MTV New-Wave with the sensibility of Vogue meets Rolling Stone with Vanity Fair and The New Yorker
It’s ICONOCLAST SYNDICATE’s duty to educate our audience about films intuitively and intrinsically. We make it our mission to celebrate film culture and push the envelope on storytelling’s innovation through newer voices’ eyes. While Turner Classic Movies and The Criterion Collection curate films watched by more Baby Boomers, we want to freshen the lens of a broader range of films from all over the world and twist them to appeal to the new generations of film enthusiasts. We will still celebrate the oldies, but interact with our readership to make the preservation of cinema fun and effective
the film method
ICONOCLAST SYNDICATE models itself as the next wave of MTV for the new generation. There will be no sugar coating here. We will be the next MTV. But instead of petering out of control into an empty vacuum of mindless entertainment, movies are universal, and the music in the films creates an endless stream of avenues for which the connectivity and originality never become passe. We should be able to progress with the times. We’ve seen technology rise with the occasion, collaborating with entertainment to encompass a 24/7 music and film channel platform filled with entertainment value. In layman's terms, MTV should have owned YouTube before Google purchased the company. The same goes for Netflix. There’s no reason why MTV shouldn’t have been a streaming channel for music videos while also becoming a more well-rounded Oscar-darling unorthodox movie studio that runs like A24, but campaigns like Netflix. ICONOCLAST SYNDICATE operates on that fresh vibe, MTV youth with that brazen rockabilly counterculture, as defined by Rolling Stone Magazine. Our film production company, lastly, has the elegance and comportment of Vogue Magazine. We are in vogue and a la mode, 100% of the time.
